Did you apply this past admission cycle?

That's really, really odd. I'd take it as a good sign but it may just be a simple mistake.

OP our numbers are almost identical and I haven't heard anything like that (let alone a fee waiver from a T-14...)

They probably just wanted you to make this thread so they could figure out your TLS username

Re: Anyone else have an interview request from WUSTL??
Like 3 years ago I was offered a full ride to attend that fall after I took the June LSAT. Maybe they're trying that tactic again.

Re: Anyone else have an interview request from WUSTL??
I remember getting an email that was fairly similar to this. Didn't really pay much attention since I do not want to stay in the Midwest. My URM bump probably puts me in the same boat as you since I have gotten 2 T-20 fee waivers, a URM motivated T-14 waiver, and one other T-14 waiver by request. Basically, it means you are among the most competitive CRS applicants so if you have interest in WUSTL, go for it.benwyatt wrote:Well WUSTL isn't T-14. I don't have any fee waivers from T-14 yet, but I'm not even anticipating getting those before the applications open. I've only received 2 fee waivers from the T-20 at this point.sanderson90 wrote:OP our numbers are almost identical and I haven't heard anything like that (let alone a fee waiver from a T-14...)
There may also be other things that set us apart like # of LSAT takes, undergraduate school, major etc.
Not sure why they've singled me out, but I'll do the interview and see what happens.

Yeah, I would be careful. Avoid making threads like this or revealing personal infobasedvulpes wrote:I'm getting super paranoid about shit like this the closer we get to applyingKinky John wrote:They probably just wanted you to make this thread so they could figure out your TLS username

Re: Anyone else have an interview request from WUSTL??
I don't think it matters too much. Admissions Deans have talked about how they, and I guess it might just be them, would only look to TLS to see if the applicants they admitted were going to attend and what was being said about their school. If you're not a murder online, my guess is it won't affect your decision.basedvulpes wrote:I'm getting super paranoid about shit like this the closer we get to applyingKinky John wrote:They probably just wanted you to make this thread so they could figure out your TLS username
That being said I was relatively opaque about who I was prior to knowing where I was attending.

Re: Anyone else have an interview request from WUSTL??
These types of posts feel so narcissistic to me. Schools have many more important things to be concerned with than perusing the entire online profiles of potential admits. A good rule of thumb is only post things online you would feel comfortable saying in person. Your TLS posts are not going to drive the results of your application cycle.basedvulpes wrote:I'm getting super paranoid about shit like this the closer we get to applyingKinky John wrote:They probably just wanted you to make this thread so they could figure out your TLS username

No idea why you grouped me as a weirdo seeing as I clearly said to use common sense. Lol.Kinky John wrote:http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 1#p7599920shump92 wrote:These types of posts feel so narcissistic to me. Re: Anyone else have an interview request from WUSTL??
-dont use your real name as avatar
-dont make your numbers publicly available (or at the very least do 3.8x/17x)
-dont say things that would obviously identify yourself (had an interview yesterday at four with J.B. etc)
its pretty simple to do, and no one probably cares anyway.

WUSTL is probably one of the best about figuring out who people are, but it's generally more for entertainment purposes and you shouldn't be worried

Re: Anyone else have an interview request from WUSTL??
Anyway I applied this past year for Fall start, was waitlisted and eventually rejected from waitlist. Took in June, got 17x, within 12 hours had an interview request from WashU with acceptance afterwards and full scholly. Unfortunately the stuff I have read this past year scared me away from WashU, but it was generously received.
Edit: If they do read this, I am sure they probably know who I am but that is okay. The WashU interviewer was nice and it was a good conversation. The whole cheating thing made me real nervous especially this close to the start of classes. Decided on mid t14 in the end.
