Anyone attended one of these yet? What did you think?

I'm planning to apply to all of the schools that will be there, but I don't live close to any of the upcoming sessions. I'm wondering what the value is of the sessions and whether I can justify the road trip and missed time off work for a 3 hour session.

I went to the one in LA last year. It was somewhat helpful/interesting, but almost all information that you can find on the internet. I found some of it to be BS because the deans talked about worrying about a lot more than LSAT & GPA, but that's not as true as they'd like you to think. If its a far drive/a ton of effort for you its probably not worth it.

I went to one in Chicago and found it to be a pretty big waste of time and money. The deans going on and on about how numbers were only a small part of the admissions process was an annoying and obvious lie.
I guess it might be worth it if you are really gunning for Penn/Virginia and think talking to a dean might give you something to talk about in a "Why x" essay...

For those who went, did you get/were you availed any one on one time with the admissions deans (like at a forum or fair), or was it entirely in a presentation format? This is only the second year these have been done so I am curious about them. Thank you!
