Should I write an addendum?

Long story short.....

For housing and financial reasons, I had to withdraw from certain waitlists last month...

But I will be reapplying to those schools that I had been waitlisted at...

Should I write an addendum explaining why I withdrew from the waitlists last month when reapplying? Would it affect my application negatively if I don't include an addendum explaining the reasons for my withdrawal.

I think it wouldn't hurt, as long as you explain why those issues are non-issues now.
