Hey all, been around TLS for a while now and have yet to come across a good answer to this question. Maybe that's because there isn't one, but I still think it's worth asking.
I'm a retaker, took the LSAT on a whim three years ago and bombed, in the interim did some other things and then retook. actually studied this time and did well.
I know at every school besides YS this does not matter, so this question is directed only at those 2, specifically Y. How much will this hurt? Any way to overcome it? Addendum?

Doesn't matter for S from what I can tell. No one knows how much it hurts or doesn't at Y because they're not on the admissions committee, there's just speculation that it does because of their review process using professors and what not who may be biased to the time when schools averaged LSATs

Right. Good to know about S, and sorta confirms what I thought about Y, that there is no definite answer. Any mitigation strategies? I'm looking at a pretty big difference, but don't really wanna write an addendum because there is no reason other then I didn't study the first time.Mack.Hambleton wrote:Doesn't matter for S from what I can tell. I wouldn't write an addendum. If you get rejected just know that most likely it had nothing to do with the retakes anyway
