International Students 2015/2016 cycle
Hiiii everyone!!!! We need to make TLS more informative for international students applying this fall 2015 cycle to law schools. Past applicants are free to post GPA/LSAT and scholly offers from law schools. This is to guide intended applicants as to where to apply.

There's a 2014/2015 thread for international students that has a spreadsheet of the scores and admission results.

Interested in hearing experiences/knowledge/vague notions/shot in the dark responses about employment for International students. I understand the OPT process as I went through it post-undergrad, but really looking to hear from/about International students who were hired post-grad into Big Firms and the route they took.

Re: International Students 2015/2016 cycle
Checking in. I'm an international student and I applied last cycle (2014/2015) so if anyone has questions about the application please feel free to ask me (but quote me or PM since I might not notice a stray question in this thread) Also as someone already mentioned, I'm interested in hearing from international students currently in law school or graduated and their experiences with finding internships and employment.

Re: International Students 2015/2016 cycle
Not going to answer my own question but thought I might throw in my own understanding in the ring to get things going on the International Student postgrad working discussion.
Obviously the have an American spouse thing certainly makes things easier. Otherwise there is the H1B process, but I understand that it requires the hiring company showing they can't find qualified applicants. I know there is a large amount of unemployed JDs (understatement of the year) so I don't know if that argument will work. Finally, I guess you can return to your home country. Am I missing something here?

Foreign Ugrad, Above Average, 180 LSAT checking in. Hoping things go as well as they might; last years' results suggest I may have a strong shot at H on down.

Re: International Students 2015/2016 cycle
Canadian applicant here. Not sure if I count as "international."
Applied late last cycle (Jan-Feb) & got waitlisted everywhere. Hoping for a better application earlier in the cycle and with a fresh LSAT score.
OP, would be it a good idea to have a moderator move this thread to the applicants sub-forum? There was an int'l students thread there last cycle.

It would also be great if OP could populate the first post with the information from last year's cycle like the OP from this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=233438
... with TLS user Hand's permission, of course.
How are people's cycles going? I know it's early days, but have any of you applied anywhere yet? Have any of you been accepted anywhere, even?

By all means copy-paste that shit! And good luck y'all. Things seem to be a little more unpredictable as a foreign applicant, but really not that unpredictable.scone wrote:It would also be great if OP could populate the first post with the information from last year's cycle like the OP from this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=233438

Check in.
China -- Above Average
LSAT -- Signed up for December. Currently PT between 172-178. If I mess up with Dec. I will have to apply next cycle. Hope not.
