I don't see any reason why this would be a problem.

I had a professor who was visiting my school from another school write one of my letters and didn't have any problems at all with that.

Absolutely no problem with this. As long as it's someone who can write you a good academic rec, it doesn't matter where they are when you apply. Some of my friends have asked old profs for recs years after they moved to other schools and it's been fine.
