I'd think the academic LOR would be stronger if you're still in UG or a year out of UG.

Neither would hurt, though.

Sorry the letter from the alum of the school is what I meant by "academic".

Although being out of UG makes this more murky of a decision.

I think the alumni letter will help more than your employer one, but I think you would know better than we would on who can give you a stronger LOR. GL on those WLs.
