Post by Sheylavocate14 » Thu Apr 02, 2015 11:00 am

Hey guys! New forum for the Fordham 2015 Waitlist. Check in and let us know what's up! Good Luck to all!

Submission: 1/1/2015
Complete: 1/13/2015
WL status update: 2/17 (via email and status checker)

What I have done since then:
Tour on 03/20/15; Spoke to Kathryn Espiritu
Alum LOR: 03/23/15
LOCI: 03/31/15

I put down my deposit at Cardozo for the May program. Would love to hear from Fordham before classes start on May 19.

Might be more interesting to others if you shared your numbers.

147 is pretty awful. That GPA shows you can do better. Retake.

Yes the 147 is pretty awful but I won't be retaking it. Going to ride the WL for Fordham and see what happens.

No, it's definitely warranted. Maybe not wanted, but certainly warranted.
Why do you refuse to retake?

OP- please do some research before committing to Fordham at sticker. Fordham has an insanely high cost of attendance and about 40% of its students fail to find jobs in the legal field.

You have a good GPA, which means that you are certainly capable of improving on your LSAT score. Plenty of smart and ambitious people have to take the LSAT more than once to achieve their target score.

Any ideas as to when Fordham will begin admitting applicants off the waitlist and whom they will admit (highest LSAT scorers etc.)?

1st Deposit deadline is 4/15.

They don't start reviewing WL applicants until after first deposit and their WL isn't ranked so it's all about luck really. They use their WL to shape and adjust their entering class.

When did you complete your application? I still haven't heard anything. Pushed admissions via email, and they just said they were still reviewing and I should hear from them in the very near future. App was completed 3/3.

Spoke to admissions. They didn't start looking at the waitlist until last week after the 2nd deposit was sent in (6/1/15). Also waitlisted for the FT program.

Isn't this just referencing the URM boost in admissions? That would explain why the OP is on a waitlist despite an extremely uncompetitive LSAT.

I agree. Several years ago, when applications were at a higher level, Illinois admitted applicants with LSAT scores in the 140s.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
