Recommendation: No Mention of Place of Work Forum

One of my Recommenders revealed that he did not mention the place of work where he and I worked together. He also did not mention the duration of association. He said that he was very detailed about my capabilities, but did not see the need for such specifics. Is that okay?

That is very strange. If it's not too late, I would ask him to include that important information? Otherwise, some of the letter's credibility is taken away.
