Obviously not me but someone pulled this off a two years ago. I didn't even that HYS give merit scholarship money- I thought it was just financial aid. Maybe that's what she reported? But she must have some amazing softs to get into Yale so late in the game with a below median GPA.

You can get really substantial need based aid. If you have children, it can go up to full tuition.
