surprising. It seems as if schools will struggle to maintain medians though, because the difference surely doesnt make up for the previous LSATs, along with the perceived "difficulty" of the test when compared with the curve of June, Sep, and Dec

they just updated applicants/applications vs this time last year. Down slightly or about even vs last update.

Not surprising. The decrease for the December test last year took a hit because of the storm during that weekend. People postponed the test which is why the February test saw a slight increase(1.1%). Without the storm I estimate around 29,000 takers for December last year. This shows that without the storm it is another possible decrease. Regardless the decreases are slowing.

It's interesting. The real tells will be June and September for next cycle though.

It always amazes me that even in Jan not even half of the all the applicants have applied already.

I'm pretty sure they said that last year about this June and September
June and September really set the tone for the cycle, so they're more indicative than December and February, which both have a huge retaker contingent.

Since I'm c/o 2019, I'm really hoping for another drop next cycle. I also have a weird fascination for things on the decline. *googles Detroit ruin porn*

Same here! It's easy to get lost in the TLS hive-mind.

So applications are down 11% so far this year? That's a pretty big drop.

Ya, most people are applying around this time or next month, it seems. People from TLS apply super early, but there's no harm in that

Curious to see what Feb will bring now. Wondering whether retakers just chose Dec over Feb or whether we'll see more retakers again in Feb.

As long as the # of applicants/matriculants continues to fall, that's fine with me.

I am sure LSAC made a mistake on the graphs.

If the applicant and application are down 9.0 % and 11.1 % respectively, there should be a gap between 2014 and 2015 on the graphs.

This is a great resource, foles!

If I'm reading it correctly, all of the T14 need approx. ~1500 170+ scorers?

Any one school only needs as many as its peer schools. I'm sure the deans talk to each other, and when the medians go down it's only a surprise to us commoners.
