Good Scholarship with 3.4
I was wondering if it was possible to get a decent scholarship from a T25 law school with a 3.4 GPA and really good LSAT? What LSAT would you need to get a decent scholarship and what other factors are involved in determining?

a 165 should get you a scholarship for t25-t15, a 170 would work for lower t14.mattf wrote:I was wondering if it was possible to get a decent scholarship from a T25 law school with a 3.4 GPA and really good LSAT? This is probably a stupid question but do you have to apply for the scholarships these schools have? If so how do you do it and what factors beyond GPA/LSAT are considered?

The vast majority of the time, no. But some schools like NYU have named scholarships you can apply to. If there is one you have to apply for the factors they look at will be evident based on what the scholarship is for and what they ask for in their application materials.mattf wrote:This is probably a stupid question but do you have to apply for the scholarships these schools have? I got a full tuition scholarship at a T25 with a somewhat similar GPA to the OP and around a 165. I'm guessing that it just depends on what the admissions committee wants in its incoming class (besides good stats, of course).RZ5646 wrote:Not OP but do you know about what size scholarship? Are you URM or is there some other reason besides merit you think you may have received it?mindthegap wrote:I got a full tuition scholarship at a T25 with a somewhat similar GPA to the OP and around a 165. Generally speaking, having an lsat score above any given school's 75% median should net you a nice amount of cash even with a lowish gpa.
