Re: Addendum - Resume
Honestly, I wouldn't write an addendum. A 3-4 month gap probably won't even be noticed, and if it is, it won't be an issue. I wouldn't draw attention to it.

Yeah, don't even mention it. (A)3-4 months isn't really worth mentioning, and (B)your reason doesn't sound any better than silence on the subject.

Re: Addendum - Resume
so 1st part of the gap studied for lsat and applied. took advice of tls and retake/reapply next cycle
2nd part of gap was applying for jobs, got accepted for one job with a start date 3-4 months away thus the 1 year gap in resume.

Re: Addendum - Resume
Still, don't mention it. An addendum will not cast the gap in a positive light.
Schools deal with k-jd's all the time so it's not like you're at a disadvantage because of the gap. WE is such a minor soft anyways and the vast majority of schools won't even bat an eye.

"I was jobless and am generally indecisive."A.Taarabt7 wrote:are you sure to not mention it? its a 1 year gap. Is it bad to be honest and tell them that the market wasn't good and wasn't sure on the career which is why I decided to retake and reapply the following cycle? I would probably spruce the message upDirigo wrote:Still, don't mention it. An addendum will not cast the gap in a positive light.

this addendum is primarily just for my reach/target schools.
How the f is that spruce?
If it were "I had to move home to care for my dying mother and we live in a remote village with no job opportunities," then maybe you could put that. But your real reason is nearly everyone's reason for a resume gap. How does your explanation help you in any way? What would you think if you were an adcom?

I'll take your advice, but to be safe I'll call the schools and see what they say. If they say, yea you absolutely should 100% its better to disclose then I'm gonna do it. If they say don't worry, I won't do it.Dirigo wrote:"."A.Taarabt7 wrote:Dirigo wrote:Still, don't mention it. An addendum will not cast the gap in a positive light.

Re: Addendum
You're treating your resume like it's a C&F issue. There is no obligation to disclose anything here.
