Fuck. No I don't.xylocarp wrote:do you have CRS turned on in your LSAC account?
I'm doing it now, will the fee waivers come rolling in immediately, or am I going to have to wait?
Because I want them. I want them bad.

Some schools will get back to you almost immediately so if I were you, I would go ahead and email the school. Look for the 2014-2015 Fee Waivers Thread for more tips and to see who gives them out. The worst thing that can happen is that they say no or say wait for the next CRS wave.rustyburger2 wrote:Damn, I might have to do that. If you want them today, you will be able to call some schools as well.hillz wrote:Some schools will get back to you almost immediately so if I were you, I would go ahead and email the school. And if that doesn't work, fill out the brief financial hardship form the school probably has on the admission section of their website.Kratos wrote:If they dont just e-mail and ask for them

Thanks for the advice guys. In emailing, should I tell them my LSAT score and GPA? Or do they have access to that?

In any general communication give them your name and LSAC ID number, unless you get personal with a specific adcom person. This goes for phone or email. If you're looking for waivers based on academic merit, you are obviously going to need to give them your stats one way or another. Yes they can pull your LSAC profile if you give them your ID, but might as well be open about what you want. You're at least 25-median to every school I know of, don't be a jerk about it but be assertive.rustyburger2 wrote:Thanks for the advice guys. In emailing, should I tell them my LSAT score and GPA? One suggestion, when you do CRS, tell them that the states you want to work in are like Wyoming and South Dakota.
I honestly told them I wanted to work in California or Washington, DC, and besides USC, I didn't get any fee waivers from any schools in either of those two regions. Wound up going to UT anyways, but it would have saved me a few hundred dollars there in the beginning.

Re: 3.8 GPA, 170 LSAT. Why don't I have any fee waivers?
The waiver system in CRS isn't automatic. Schools have to manually run a process that applies the waivers to the LSAC accounts of whatever groups of applicants they are targeting. It will depend on the school as to how often they run those reports and how they have them set up. There is also a mechanism, for them to mark individual prospects (i.e. not-yet-applicants) for a fee waiver. But you would have had to already be in the CRS database and been downloaded via the same process I mentioned, so if you just turned yours on you might still have to wait.rustyburger2 wrote:Fuck.
