NO UPDATES whatsoever for current status (Early Decision)

Post by svx5013 » Sat Nov 15, 2014 11:22 pm

So...I applied for early binding decision, and the decision will be made before Jan. 1st, 2015. The ED round I deadline was Nov. 1st and all my application material was complete at Oct. 29th. However, since that date, my application status date DID NOT change, and the status DID NOT move to the next stage - "under review."Is it normal for an EARLY DECISION? Are they just trying to push my application to the Round II ED? Or already decided that a rejection letter will be mailed?

If decisions are to be made by Jan 1st, I wouldn't expect any movement in November anyways.

Thanks. The thing is that for other schools that I applied, some of their status moved on to "under review" even for my REGULAR DECISION.

They are being as clear as they can. They couldn't be more direct. Try again next year, son.

If you're really worried about it you can just shoot the admissions office a polite e-mail. Try not to be a nag though.

The status trackers for different schools say different things at different times, schools move at different paces, it's not yet January 1, so you should really just relax and not worry about reading into arbitrary markers.

Also, don't use the large font.
