Hello all, long time lurker- first time poster.
I'm deciding whether taking the LSAT a 3rd time will help my chances, here's my scenario:
Took the June LSAT, 24 practice tests average: 167
June Actual Score: 158
Took the Sept LSAT, 22 practice tests average: 170
Sept Actual Score: 161
I finished all the applications, personal statement, Letters of Rec and hope to send it all out to my target schools next week. Now I'm wondering if I should take the December Test with my apps already sent out, because I feel as though underperformed in June and Sept relative to my average PT's.
So applying with 161 as my highest; but say I take December and hit between 167-173 will this help/factor into my admission chances at all, with my apps already sent out? I figure it can't hurt. Thank you.

If you feel like you can get in sure. I'm pretty sure schools will hold your apps upon request til the next score comes out. But man, that's a brutal split on both occasions between PT's and actual score. There may be some issues you need to focus on beyond applications right now. MAYBE one time, but a 9 point drop shouldnt happen twice. What's so different? Are you timing yourself on PT's, grading correctly, doing 5 sections to prevent burnout etc?coffee4closers wrote:Hello all, long time lurker- first time poster.

@baseball
Yeah I was pretty disappointed about the Sept scores.
In June I went LR: -14 RC:-4 LG:-6 LR:-4 --- -6 lg hurt me and I blew up on an LR
September RC:-13 LG:-0 LR:-7 LR:-5 --- only getting a 161 with -0 on lg and 6 point in improvement in LR was frustrating.
Both times I've blown up on the first section then seem to cruise afterwards, so I guess I've got to do PT's straight up test day environment style and hope my nerves wont get me.
But to my original question, with myself turning my apps in somewhat early(before thnxgiving) would it just be pointless to turn them in early if I go turnaround and tell them to wait for a December score?
