I'd do june. I also recommend against personal tutor. There are all sorts of study guides on here.

Make a long story short I got a 162 on the September LSAT. Went -1 in LG and didn't fare nearly as well with LR/RC. I put in a decent amount of time into my prep, but maybe I need to approach the LR/RC from a new perspective. My current GPA is a 3.94. My dilemma is this: Do I attempt to prep now for December with a tutor perhaps and hope to marginally increase my score? Or, do I go with a private tutor and prep for June. If I do the latter, the plan will be to have all of my essays, personal statement(s), LORs 100% completed and on the first day applications open send them off. With my current GPA, I feel that I owe it to myself to pair it with as high of an LSAT as I can knowing how important the LSAT is in the admissions process. However, that would also mean sitting out this cycle and taking a year off. It is a very stressful decision and besides hearing retake, I am wondering what some of your thoughts were. Thanks a ton.

Unless the gods are shining on me and I rock the December exam, I will be writing in June and applying day one next year. I think if you can afford to do that, you would be in a better position--but I can't speak from experience. Curious to hear what others say. Good luck!

What was your PT average prior to taking the Sept. test? Did you severely underperform on test day (maybe due to nerves or testing situation)?

agree with above. It takes a long way from 162ish to consistent 170ish, since in the most improvable section---game, you only missed 1. If you severely underperformed, retake. If not, I'd consider taking it in June

OP, for how many months did you study for the LSAT to get to this level?

We get the similar PT score right now and it took me like 4 months to go from 150 to 166ish. But I am applying next cycle though.

Oh, I realize that we have very similar GPAs too. lol
