Application Explanation Section

Post by kwabbs » Wed Oct 22, 2014 2:34 pm

I ended up scoring poorly on the sept LSAT a 157 and will be retaking in Feb. I am currently working on my applications and many of the schools offer a section to explain a poor gpa/ test score.. From Aug- to post LSAT I was sleeping on the couch at my sister's house while watching my 3 year old nephew and 8 month old niece.. I wasn't really set up for success but didn't have any other options as the house we had just purchased was taking a lot longer than we had expected.. We were supposed to have the keys July 30th and didn't move in until October! I also was three days deep in Bronchitis on test day. Would it be appropriate to write these reasons in the sections on the application?

Wait, you're retaking in February but working on your applications now?

Random I know.. I'm thinking about applying to Loyola and Pepperdine and usd this cycle and if I end up with a 170 and above in feb then I will prob completely sit out the cycle and apply to higher tier schools instead
