Berkeley App Question

Post by heymochi » Fri Oct 17, 2014 12:05 am

Under the applicant info section on the Berkeley application, question six asks:

"Have you been admitted to an undergraduate program or taken courses at UC Berkeley (including summer session and UC Extension)?"

Are they asking if you have ever been admitted to an undergraduate program or if you currently have an offer of admission from an undergraduate program UC Berkeley?

Also, on the topic, does being previously admitted to an undergraduate program at a certain school increase your chances of acceptance into their law school?

Thanks!

It seems to me that "ever been admitted to an undergraduate program' = "having an offer of an admission to an undergraduate program". Are you asking if the question only wants you to answer if you are attending or have attended Berkeley undergrad?

From what you wrote, I think they're asking if you have ever been admitted or taken classes at UC Berkeley. So if you received an offer of admission from them once upon a time, then you would say yes.

I don't know about your second question. I wouldn't imagine that having been admitted to undergrad at a school (that you ended up not attending) would give you a significant boost.
