If your LSAT ends up really being that high you'd be a fool if these are the only schools you apply to.

Why would you apply to only 5 schools?

With a 3.5 you should absolutely not be attending Emory or Ole Miss.

I also have a 3.5, but I'm expecting my LSAT to be between 176 and 180. I'm applying to:

Berkeley
Stanford
Harvard
UChicago
Georgetown

WUSTL, UIUC, Northwestern, Mizzou, SLU, Chicago Kent, Loyola Chicago

Obviously I have to stay in Missouri or Illinois and don't have my LSAT score back with this range of schools. Depending on score, I may chop one off the top or a few off the bottom of this list.

Really? I didn't think about that . On my first practice I scored in the mid 50s without any prior studying, and my logic games were in the 30th percentile. The prompter stated I should be able to get in the high 60s or my 170, if I study hard since I have a little under a year to prepare. I was just hoping that I would get tons of scholarship money for those schools. Vandy is my ideal school because of the reputation and it's close to home. My undergrad school is ranked against other public schools, however; I don't know how that would stack up against public AND private schools. I will look into more schools :)

I'm limiting my applications to cities to which my husband can transfer his job easily, also places that I wouldn't hate to live.

are y'all reading law school confidential or something
apply broadly, even outside of the region you're interested in
you can use acceptances as leverage in financial aid negotiations
with rare exception, if you have t14 numbers, you should blanket the t14

Everywhere in the Dallas regional area. UT, SMU, OU, TTU. Then Vandy, WUSTL, Maryland, GULC, Miami, and W&L because of lesser family ties
