Hi! I am applying to law school right now for next year. I have (almost) perfected my personal statement, have all my letters of rec, etc. in and am trying to decide if I can add a blurb at the end for "why x law school" or if I need to write a separate essay.
About me:
171 LSAT
3.8 GPA
3 years post grad work experience
My ideal schools are NYU, Columbia, U Chicago or Georgetown. Other than that, I want to go to a T-14 school or not go at all. Do any of those schools strongly prefer "why x law school" essays?
Thanks for your help!!

Apparently it helps for schools that yield protect heavily like UVA.

It might be useful at U Chicago. Just talk about small class size, quarter system, Chicago, and mention a few faculty members whose research interests you.
