Based on a discussion I'm having with other posters on the LSAT discussion forum I'm wondering: How will applying immediately after receiving a (presumably good: 170+) December LSAT score affect one's chances for acceptance into a (any) t-14 school for the current cycle?
I'm sure late applications have been discussed ad nauseam here over the years, but with admissions down has the paradigm changed at all?

You may get yield-protected WL at schools you should be accepted to, but if you're actually interested in going there just stay on and do any WL essays they have and it won't hurt you with regards to scholarships.

Basically this. You'll have a hard time cracking CCN with a January app.john7234797 wrote:You may get yield-protected WL at schools you should be accepted to, but if you're actually interested in going there just stay on and do any WL essays they have and it won't hurt you with regards to scholarships.

Am I the only one here who thinks, if this is true, that this is kind of BS? Why leave apps open until march/april/may if you're not going to accept very many people at all? I get the whole "rolling admissions" idea, but still. I think it'd be more justified if schools left a more narrow gap in which they would consider all the candidates who applied within that gap period equally. Why do tryhards get artificial boost.

In some ways, its to your benefit to apply early. The earlier you apply, the sooner you'll get fin aid info and start negotiating and planning on when/where to move.lsatisevil7 wrote:Basically this.
