Lower Score on a LSAT Retake

Post by WichitaShocker » Wed Sep 17, 2014 5:37 pm

I have an LSAT score that I am relatively happy with, but I am considering retaking the LSAT in December to try and get an increase for scholarship purposes. I have already submitted applications, and will have all of them submitted by the end of this month.

My question is: If I were to score lower on the December LSAT will it hurt me admissions wise?

No risk in retaking.
Sometimes they may hold off on making a decision if you're signed up for a future test though, so that delay may be something to consider if you haven't yet signed up for December. Have your apps gone complete yet?

Even if you score lower, all they report is the higher score so all they're going to care about is that higher score. It's risk free.

I do plan on indicating on any apps that I will be retaking, and I plan on registering on the last day(November 4th) so my apps have plenty of time to go complete. I was pretty sure there was no risk, but I wanted to confirm. Thank you for your reply.

Good strategy.
