Hours/activity on Resume

Post by Philafaler » Mon Sep 15, 2014 10:08 pm

The UChicago application wants the resume to include the number of hours for each activity. Are we really supposed to do this for every single activity on the resume?

So, if I sporadically write opinions for my college newspaper, should I write something like (5 hrs./article)? I don't really know how to apportion some of these activities because the commitments ebb.

I think it's really asking about how much time you spend generally per week. So, you would say something like "Opinions columnist for XXX newspaper" - 5 hours/week (not article) or however long. I don't think it matters too much so I would just guess. You could probably do it per month if it varies a lot.
