Transcript problem - "unacknowledged"

Post by marble » Wed Sep 10, 2014 4:04 pm

I took a class abroad through my UG institution. It is listed as "transfer" credit on my transcript even though it was offered through the same college. The course is meant not to count for my UG GPA (although I know it will for LSAC) so I believe that has something to do with its status as transfer credit.

However this presents a problem with LSAC's transcript system, because now it looks like I have transfer credit even though I have only ever taken classes at my normal college.

I think I will still be able to submit applications based on a conversation with LSAC but how much of a problem will it be if schools see that I have an unacknowledged transcript from an "unknown institution" even though there is no other institution and no other transcript? Should I write something explaining this?

Edit: I have asked if I could get the transcript changed, and the answers I got seemed to say that I couldn't. I could keep trying to do that but it might be a big hassle and not accomplish anything.
