Gpa floors
I've searched through the forum and found discussions on the topic but they were from a few years back. I imagine HYS still have a high floor but what about the lower t14. I've got a 3.1 and am retaking in December. Is t14 possible? Non-URM btw

But 3.1 is fine if you get a 170+. Some of the T14 schools are known to be splitter friendly, so you're not shut out yet.

I just want to stress what the others have been saying on the LSAT. To be extreme, simply to prove a point, if you scored a 180 you'd still have good offers with $$$$.

Hey!
Yes it's no problem. You'll still have a shot at T-14 with the right LSAT.
Don't listen to these people. Ask as many questions as you want. That's the point of this website.

Cool. I asked because even on lsn there seems to be very few people with low gpa's that get admitted

Yep. There is hardly any data but NU and GULC seem forgiving.should-i-do-it wrote:Cool. I asked because even on lsn there seems to be very few people with low gpa's that get admitted

Exactly. We also rarely take into consideration the number of people not on here or LSN that have been admitted/denied. If we were to take into account all people, we would see that some people had no chance of getting in and did, and that some people have a 100% in, but were denied.
An example of this type of thing that numbers don't dictate is trouble. If you are a perfect candidate with some legal issues sometimes you will find your cycle to be far below expectations. One of my colleagues had to settle at FIU law because he had a battery issue. He was 3.5/167. The few places he did get into didn't really offer any sort of scholarship.

Re: Gpa floors
Although questions are welcomed, a search would reveal that people with lower than 3.1 have gotten into T14's, so that's obviously not the floor.thequigley wrote:Ask as many questions as you want. That's the point of this website.
OP did his due diligence and answered his own question:

No harm done. But OP was clearly capable of answering his own question, so the "don't listen to them!" encouragement is silly.
