Took LSAT for the 9th time in 6 years and still not good
Guys - I could use some moral support.
I graduated in 2008 and all I want to do is get into Law school. Over the past 6 years, I have taken the LSAT 9 times, and my highest score is 141.
I really want to get into a top 100 law school. I didn't get a real job since i wanted to focus on the LSAT. I have applied to law school every year like clockwork since 2009 but have been rejected. Should I take another year and take the LSAT again or try applying again this year??

No offense but that is brutal. How have you prepared for the LSAT in the past? Also, this is probably not the best place for moral support.

I don't want to sound harsh, but you need to stop wasting your time. You're not going to become a lawyer.
If you've taken the LSAT 9 times and can't break 141, you won't pass the bar.
Find another career.

You're probably never going to become a lawyer. My advice is go to a trade school, you'll be very gainfully employed and it won't take an incredibly long time. It's good, honest work, and you'll be able to support a family with it.

Anybody who has put in a month of studying should make more than a 141. Anyone can perfect the logic games. You dont have to be smart, just diligent. You must be blindly taking the LSAT. And if that is the case, I don't really see the problem... you came to a forum where people have put in (myself included) several months of full time devotion towards the test. If you have ACTUALLY studied for the LSAT, then you wouldnt make a 141. If you had studied for 6 years for it, you wouldve mastered the games by this point, which makes it REALLY hard to get even below a 150, nevermind a low 140's.
Of course, this could be flame. But the first paragraph sums up my thoughts. Brutal honesty is the best honesty.

Yeah, at least for threads in the lounge. Idk about the rest of the forum because some people might consider that stuff "important or meaningful."el madrileno wrote:Oh, I didn't know that. This HAS to be total bullshit LMFAO. TLS is the best.
On the off chance that it isn't....LSAC just lost the disability law suit. I'm sure you'd benefit from that.

You guys have terrible search skills. Just google site:top-law-schools.com "MindControl"
The poster was clearly legit when he signed up. Maybe he's just a lawyer messing with us or something. If not, then I am sad to say there is no hope here. There are MANY ways to be part of the legal profession without being a lawyer though.

It's not that my search skills are terrible. It's that I didn't give enough fucks to google search this person's username you goober.banjo wrote:You guys have terrible search skills. Just google site:top-law-schools.com "MindControl"

Its not like I haven't studied, my practice tests (which I have taken over and over), I tend to do well (upper 140s to 150 range), but just can't seem to do it on the actual tests. Does anyone know of any law school that has LSATs as optional, at this point I just want to go to any law school.

First of all, "upper 140s to 150 range" is not doing "well".
Second, let me repeat myself, YOU WON'T PASS THE BAR.
You're never going to be a lawyer. If you continue this course of action, you'll just become an unemployed debt-slave.

Someone might know something about NU's AJD and its GMAT option.MindControl wrote:Its not like I haven't studied, my practice tests (which I have taken over and over), I tend to do well (upper 140s to 150 range), but just can't seem to do it on the actual tests. From NU:
Applicants may take either the LSAT or the GMAT, as an experiment aimed at providing the Admissions Committee with additional information regarding applicants' quantitative and writing abilities.

I will worry about the Bar, in 3 years or so. Right now I want to get into a decent law school or any law school for that matter where LSAT is optional. Has any law school admitted folks based on other characteristics, and discounted the LSAT? I am not prepared to give up yet, I will keep trying, I need a 150 to be shoe in for some schools.whitespider wrote:MindControl wrote:Its not like I haven't studied, my practice tests (which I have taken over and over), I tend to do well (upper 140s to 150 range), but just can't seem to do it on the actual tests. I know probably troll, but I love when people say things like, "I'm not prepared to give up yet!" as if they expect a slow clap to start. If this situation is real, giving up is the correct (and only) course of action. There's nothing heroic about pointlessly slamming your head into a wall.
I don't think it's impossible that OP is real, though. TTTTs fill classes every year by preying on people just like this. They definitely exist. OP, if you are real, it's time to find something else to do. No one is saying you're a bad person or anything, but it's clear that a legal career is not in the cards here.

Okay ground rules - if you don't have anything positive to contribute then pls don't post anything on my thread. And none of that 'Is OP real" BS either. Not everyone can do well on the LSATs. This thread is for me to seek a second opinion on either applying this year or wait till next year after taking the LSAT again. Asking me to go to trade school or forget being a lawyer is not helpful, I get a earful of that from my family everyday. I need suggestions/options of schools that I can apply to with my current LSAT scores.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
