Good ol' C&F Question
So in my junior year of college for one of my essays, I used as one of my points something I got from the internet. The content was mine but the professor found where I got the original idea from. Long story short, I got a verbal warning and half credit on the essay. I'm going to disclose the information to the law schools, but I am curious as to how admissions offices and eventually the bar will look at this. Any help is appreciated thanks.

I don't know if anyone can answer this definitively, but I imagine adcoms take plagiarism pretty seriously. I would focus on writing a substantial disclosure that takes full responsibility for what you did and doesn't attempt to downplay or diminish the gravity of it. I would mention how deeply remorseful you are and what you learned from your mistake.pdt1765 wrote:So in my junior year of college for one of my essays, I used as one of my points something I got from the internet. Don't attempt to dance around the fact that this was plagiarism, as you seem to do in this post. Own up in full.
