I am in a situation where I need to change jobs. I am a teacher and I got hired for a specific High School Science position. The 2nd day of school they needed somebody in an early elementary emotional disturbance room. I have exhausted all possibilities in district to fix this, but they won't budge and say I'm stuck there for the year. I have been offered my dream teaching position elsewhere in a neighboring state. If I resign to take the other position and don't get a release, they could (it's rare) petition the first states board to suspend my license for a year. It's not huge to me, because I live in the state my new job will be in, but:
Will this license suspension keep me out of law school or bar admittance?

It sounds like a difficult situation and that you're doing your best to navigate it. There's enough Gray in your circumstance that it's pretty hard to knock your character for clear ethical violations.regulartime wrote:I am in a situation where I need to change jobs. If I wee you though, I'd make sure I gave consideration to what is in my students best interest and framed any addendum type statement in those terms, assuming you even have an obligation to address this circumstance.
