Asking for multiple LORs
I feel a little hesitant to ask this because I should already know this stuff. I want to ask for multiple copies of LORs (like more than 10) just to increase my chance of getting in any schools due to not exceptional stats. How do you guys ask the recommender that you need 10+ rec letters? Is there a way to electronically submit them or do they seal the envelops themselves? I want to minimize the work for them since they are already doing a favor for me. Thanks!

Are you asking if your rec can tailor the letter to each school you apply to? If so, your rec can upload multiple versions to lsac. Not sure if it's worth it though...jubilee777 wrote:I feel a little hesitant to ask this because I should already know this stuff. Re: Asking for multiple LORs
Your recommenders can submit their letter online through LSAC, so you don't have to worry about getting multiple copies. (Unless you want them tailored to each school you're applying to as schmooky mentioned, in which case you can specify how many letters a certain recommender is going to submit on LSAC).jubilee777 wrote:I feel a little hesitant to ask this because I should already know this stuff. Re: Asking for multiple LORs
Just have your recommender submit a single letter. Having a professor tailor a letter is only (possibly) helpful if he/she can speak with specific, deep, personal knowledge about the law school and persuasively argue with concrete reasons why you and that school are a special match. Almost all "tailored" letters fall far short of this. (But if that describes the situation for one of your target schools, then have at it.) Having a prof regurgitate a few things from the school's website is useless tailoring. And just subbing in the school's name in each letter is worse than useless.jubilee777 wrote:I feel a little hesitant to ask this because I should already know this stuff.
