C + F dilemma

Post by mccllln2 » Sun Aug 03, 2014 10:40 am

In 2010 I received an underage drinking ticket. I paid a fine and haven't thought about since until now. Since then I have had two different background checks for jobs and they have come up completely clean. Should I still disclose on my apps? It doesn't seem possible that schools would find out and I really don't want to wonder if this is the reason why I get rejected from schools. Then again I don't want to go all the way through school only to be rejected from the bar association...

Just disclose.

It's a minor infraction. Nobody's going to care.

disclose

won't make a difference if you do
will make a huge deal if you don't and get caught

You wont get rejected because of an underage drinking ticket. This is not a dilemma.

I had a noise violation ticket from a party that I had where my friend's band played. Even though I was not convicted, I disclosed. During my character and fitness review for bar admission the examiner did care one bit and even laughed about it a little bit.

No one will care in the slightest, especially if this was a one time thing from years ago.
