Rolling admissions
Is applying to law school in January after the December LSAT the kiss of death? Are your odds of admission much higher if you apply in October?

Depends on the school and your stats, but generally speaking you'll be much more successful applying early in the cycle.

I applied in late December/Early January and had no problems. I did, however, take the October LSAT so I'm not sure if that makes a big difference.

According to your profile though you have a 4.0 and 170, and are attending GW? I think your numbers are much more relevant than the timing of your application and LSAT. If OP is borderline it will be a different story.WestWingWatcher wrote:I applied in late December/Early January and had no problems. Yeah, I guess it depends, but I also heard back from UPenn (withdrew before scholarship info), W&L (Full Tuition), and W&M (Full Tuition). My acceptance to UPenn is what I was basing my thinking off of, though you are right.swampman wrote:According to your profile though you have a 4.0 and 170, and are attending GW? I would think those stats would be full ridish at GW and should be good for admittance to a t6/good scholarship at lower t14 so if anything this validates the concern about timing leading to underperforming
