Statement of purpose

Post by pawells » Sat Jul 12, 2014 9:44 pm

I've had trouble getting an exact answer on this after searching through the forums. A recommender asked me for a "statement of purpose". What would this entail? Is it the same as a personal statement? Seems like there's an obvious answer but I've read conflicting things. Thanks

You can give the recommender your Personal Statement. Unlike PhD and MA programs, law schools do not require a Statement of Purpose laying out a research agenda. That's probably what your recommender has in mind.
