Could You Get In Trouble For This?

Post by DaRascal » Sat Jul 12, 2014 3:48 pm

I don't know too much about Grad Plus loans but what if you take out in excess of what you really need and use it to buy into some poker tournaments. Could you get in trouble with the federal government regardless of whether or not you lose the money?

I've been wondering about this for a while honestly.

Yes. You would get in trouble. Student loans are required to be used for educational purposes. (And I answer only in case someone reads this and gets a really really bad idea.)
