Due to non-flagging policy, will law schools start placing more emphasis on GPA and strength of undergraduate institution?

Is "non-flagging" the policy that 10% of LSATs won’t count towards admission stats?Law1491 wrote:Due to non-flagging policy, will law schools start placing more emphasis on GPA and strength of undergraduate institution?

I think he means the tiny percentage of test takers who get extra time.CounselorNebby wrote:Is "non-flagging" the policy that 10% of LSATs won’t count towards admission stats?Law1491 wrote:Due to non-flagging policy, will law schools start placing more emphasis on GPA and strength of undergraduate institution?
LSAC can't illegally flag their scores anymore.
No, lots of people have high GPAs not so many have high LSATs.

NYSprague, you don't get it. Non-flagging changes EVERYTHING.
And I think the only rational solution is that schools only accept peeps from T14 UGs. Because that would definitely solve the "rich kids buying accommodations in DROVES" that the chicken littles are afraid of.
Guys, please.

NYSprague, how to prevent abuse in this process. Right now, most of the people with accommodations, I would think, have legitimate reasons to have extra time. I hope that the effect in 2014-2015 cycle will be minimal, but 3 or 4 years from now, it might become a serious issue.

Can someone explain what you all are talking about? What has changed? What is non-flagging?

Scores with accommodations for disabilities used to be flagged as such when sent to schools and were not included in medians. Now there is no such distinction.CounselorNebby wrote:Can someone explain what you all are talking about? What has changed? What is non-flagging?
Like .2% of tests are time accommodated.
