What will this grade do to my LSAC GPA?
Still getting my transcripts into LSAC, but a quick question. I took a community college course in highschool before I went to community college for actual college and transferred to Berkeley. The one course i took in highschool I got a D in because back then I just didn't care. Now I know the LSAC factors in every grade you took a community college whether or not it was for college or not to come up with your GPA, but I had the credits removed from that D.
So on my transcript it has my grade I got which was a D and how many credits that class was worth which was 0. So basically what I'm asking is how does a D with 0 credits attached to it effect my GPA

Just an educated guess but I think it'll count, sorry. Usually they specifically ask for grades from all colleges attended and lying is a bad call with the bar and everything. gluck, hope i'm wrong.Calbears123 wrote:Still getting my transcripts into LSAC, but a quick question. Its not a big deal if it counts or not really, it doesn't do much to my GPA, but my official transcript shows 0 credits for that grade. They have no way of knowing if it was a 5 credit class, 3 credits class, or a 1 credits class (to be honest I dont even remember). Would they ask the school?DUBcity wrote:Just an educated guess but I think it'll count, sorry. Or does LSAC not calculate your GPA by Grade/Credit count like the LSDAS GPA calculator over at law school predictor

hmm that's extremely odd, but my guess would be that it can only weigh as much as the units it's assigned. So that adds to the chances of it not counting but to know for sure you'll have to speak directly with someone at LSAC.Calbears123 wrote:Its not a big deal if it counts or not really, it doesn't do much to my GPA, but my official transcript shows 0 credits for that grade. LSAC's policy is to assign three credits to any class whose number of credits is indeterminate.

Ha. No, sorry. Zero is indeterminate for LSAC's purposes, because there's no such thing as a graded zero-credit class. It will be counted as a three-credit class.Calbears123 wrote:Well the number of credits is not indeterminate, its just 0Ti Malice wrote:LSAC's policy is to assign three credits to any class whose number of credits is indeterminate.Hopefully that flies haha

Hey I think I might be in the clear, what do you think
From http://www.lsac.org/aboutlsac/policies/ ... marization
It says,
Grades Excluded From Conversion
Those assigned no measure of credit by the issuing institution, regardless of the grade.
So I'm guessing that D I earned in highschool, since my transcripts show was not assigned any credits, should be excluded from my GPA
