improved LSAT score: WL prospects?

Post by ConLawNerd91 » Tue Jul 01, 2014 10:35 pm

Hi everyone,

I retook the LSAT in June to increase my chances of a full scholarship at Villanova. I also hoped might get me off the waitlist at a few schools.

Do you think a jump from 155 to 164 will help me get into schools like Penn or Georgetown off the waitlist? Are there any additional WL strategies you'd recommend other than continuing to show interest?

Thanks!

I would think by now most schools aren't going to be pulling much from their waitlists. On the other hand, if you got on to Penn's waitlist with a 155 you probably have an otherwise strong application so maybe you have a shot. Send a LOCI with your new LSAT score?

Depends on your GPA. I don't think a 164 on its own can get you accepted off the waitlist into Penn or Georgetown.

In that case, you definitely have a chance since schools usually pick splitters/ reverse splitters when they draw from the waitlist. Send in a LOCI mentioning your improved LSAT if you haven't already. It is a little late in the process but there's hope if you're willing to wait it out, good luck!
