I will do LSATs this September and will graduate this December. I have two dream law schools. If I can make it into either one, I will be happy to attend and a scholarship is not important. However, I don't want to attend law school until the Fall of 2016.

I want to apply to only my two dream law schools this Fall. If I get accepted, I will ask for a one year deferral. If I just make it to the waiting list and then get accepted, can I get a deferral in this case?

If I'm not accepted by these two schools, I will do LSATs in September of 2015 for the second time. I will then apply to basically all T14 law schools. In this case, I will have applied twice to my two dream schools. Does this increase my chances of getting accepted? A scholarship is not really important to me. Do my plans make sense?

I am not sure about all schools, but I know that Yale does not allow you to ask for a deferral if you are waitlisted. Mind if I ask what your rationale is for the gap year? Not that this is a bad idea, it just seems like you already have a plan in mind and I'm curious.

why apply to only two schools? which schools?
and why apply this coming cycle if you're going to ask for a deferral

if i were you, i'd just focus on studying
since you will do LSATs this September
