Applications Open?
Hey all,
I was wondering if there exists out there some sort of timeline showing when applications open for the upcoming fall cycle. I know most of them are 9/15, but I think I remember Berkeley opens on 9/1, and maybe one other that had a different date--is there any sort of list?
If not, I guess I could get off my lazy butt and put one together myself. Crazy.
Thanks for any input.
EDIT: made a list myself, for anyone to refer to...
From earliest to latest:
August 15 - Chicago, Cornell
August 23 - Michigan
September 1 - Berkeley, Columbia, Duke, Northwestern, NYU, Penn
September 2 - UVA
September 10 - Stanford
"Mid September" - Harvard
October 1 - Yale

Re: Applications Open?
If you're looking to apply the first day possible, there really isn't much difference at all....(like none) 9/1 vs 9/15. Worst case scenario you just do them all on 9/15 if you're all ready to go.
Unless you're trying to see the applications and what they ask for supplemental stuff.

Yeah, I think it'd be useful less for 'APPLY SEPTEMBER FIRST NOW NOW NOW' and more for getting things like addendums/actually filling crap out as much ahead of time as possible. Or at least seeing what's going on--just a general sort of starting things earlier is better idea.Bajam wrote:If you're looking to apply the first day possible, there really isn't much difference at all....(like none) 9/1 vs 9/15. I'm also interested in this. Please post the list if you compile it!

And I'll put together a T14 list tonight, if that's cool.

P.S. I know the girl who spells Xylocarp at the beginning of Mean Girls. She was in my major program in UG.

I would also like to be a part of this cool, overly obsessing C/O 2018 group.middlebear wrote:Bring it.xylocarp wrote:I'm in if you make itsmccgrey wrote:On that note, is there a TLS Class of 2018 thread yet? Is it too early to start obsessing over the details of my applications?

Re: Applications Open?
All right, here is what I came up with (and note that some of these are explicitly dates for the 2014-15 cycle, while some are explicitly for 2013-14 and are thus subject to minor change--though it doesn't seem like most of them move).
From earliest to latest:
August 15 - Chicago, Cornell
August 23 - Michigan
September 1 - Berkeley, Columbia, Duke, Northwestern, NYU, Penn
September 2 - UVA
September 10 - Stanford
"Mid September" - Harvard (thanks for the specificity, bros - defs let me know if anyone can find a hard date)
October 1 - Yale
Let me know if you think I goofed anything up. These are also all regular decision (I'm assuming that the earliest ones are those schools that have the ED option).

Re: Applications Open?
Does anyone know if there's a way to view what the applications from past years have looked like?

Re: Applications Open?
I know Michigan has theirs from the last cycle up year round. Don't know about others.brooklynboy wrote:Does anyone know if there's a way to view what the applications from past years have looked like?
