just a random question here:
I've read in various places that although admitted classes at UVA are 40% VA residents/60% out of state residents this doesn't provide a competitive advantage for VA residents in the admissions process.
I was wondering if maybe VA residents, after being admitted, receive an advantage over out of state residents in terms of the financial aid packages they're offered. Does anyone have any knowledge of this being true or not? Thanks!

It does provide a competitive advantage for admissions. Their old dean said so without saying so. If even they admit it...
IDK about schollys but I'd assume so.

Yeah, UVA definitely gives a boost to in-state applicants.
