The more time you put between yourself and the CF issue, the better.
I'd try to find a full time job after your undergrad, and stick it out for a few years.
If you're set on going to law school, you should study for the LSAT when you get the chance. It's a huge time commitment.
You should try to break into the 170s. I expect you might underperform your LSAT score in such a case, but it's your best chance at going to a worthwhile school.
Do you have a ton of W's or bad grades from being expelled? I think that's probably the bigger issue than what happened at your job.
You're not totally fucked though. I think adcoms realize we're all human and sometimes we do shitty things.
Good luck.

Yeah, I'd be more worried about having a lot of punitive W's or F's on your transcript. You might feel bad about being forced to resign, but if no one pressed charges, you may not even have to disclose it in your C&F. If there's an application that has a question posed: "Were you ever forced to resign in lieu of being formerly fired?" you have to answer "yes" and then submit a short addendum saying that you held a part time job in 2011, was asked to leave, and have since matured significantly since then as demonstrated by your commitment to your current grades and any other jobs you've had since then.

Just to be clear, disclosing that you were fired from a law firm for falsifying hours would absolutely hurt you, but you won't need to disclose in that level of detail.

I'd be more worried about this, really. If you have two years of F's on your transcript, your GPA might be irredeemably tanked.icanhaslawschool wrote:
I went to college right out of high school, and basically, didn't go to class. I was a schmuck as a kid, and ended up getting expelled after two years.
