Not sure if these questions have been answered before but, I'm applying to law school this coming cycle (2014-2015) and I'm interested in fee waivers, particularly the LSAC Fee Waiver. Would now be a good time to apply for the waiver, or is there a specific time that's more advantageous? Or does timing matter at all?
In the same vein, when is a good time to start asking individual schools for fee waivers? When they open their applications or can one ask a little before then?

Re: Fee Waiver Question
As far as the individual school goes, just start asking around the same time you plan to apply for the schools. They get back to you very quickly.

i didn't have any luck soliciting individual fee waivers, even with competitive numbers. All the schools I've dealt with (except UVA) ended up saying , "we'll send out a wave of fee waivers using the candidate referral service, so pls wait till then." I hope you have better luck than me, but that seems to be the norm.
As for LSAC fee waiver, i'd apply for that ASAP--I dont think there's an optimal time to apply for it.
