Re: Is UT worth sticker?
Assuming he meant the University of Texas, can you give an example of person B? I can't think of a single person for whom (even in state) sticker would make sense unless they were independently wealthy or had a rich benefactor. Or was that the type of person you were thinking of?SFrost wrote:For person A: Definitely not!

Instate sticker is like 170K+ if paid via loans

What if Mr. 1 post can't be bothered to write a full sentence or give us any contextual info actually meant the University of Tennessee???manu6926 wrote:UT = University of Texas. If the OP meant U of T Faculty of Law in Toronto, then since U of T is the best law school in Canada, it definitely is worth sticker, unless he/she is planning to move to the States with a law degree from U of T.

Re: Is UT worth sticker?
Didn't say it was even close to a scam. Given the amount of money you could get elsewhere there are always better options for better prices. But then again, I'm debt averse.SFrost wrote:Yea Yale and STTTanford are basically scams.unodostres wrote:There is no school worth sticker.
Still worth it to retake. Going to law school for nothing at a decent regional is good stuff.james.bungles wrote:BYU sticker is 11kunodostres wrote:There is no school worth sticker.

Re: Is UT worth sticker?
In-state it can be justified at sticker for some people. 250k anywhere outside of the T14 is not justifiable.

Re: Is UT worth sticker?
If you are in-state, have someone covering your cost of living, have no reasonable career options outside of law, are not KJD, and understand you're most likely going to be in serious debt for a very long time, then I guess I might say: what the hell?
If you don't meet all of those conditions, though, and you don't have a rich benefactor, then definitely no.
