HELP NEEDED!! SUMMER PLANS
Hi guys,
I have 2 options for the summer:
a. I got a research grant and I could stay on campus and do a political science related research. my schools one of the top 20 colleges by us news, so getting a research grant from a pool of applicants here says something i guess
b. attend summer school in israel. 2 classes: entrepreneurship in the middle east and political environment of the middle east.
I am interested in both, so I need you guys to help me decide. which one is a better soft for applying to law school?
Thank you so much!

Option A is a more substantive resume line, so if you're looking at it purely from a "what's a better soft" standpoint, A is your best bet. But it's not going to make a difference in your application, so you should do whichever one you think would be more enriching for you.

My advice is make the decision for yourself, Rachel. We're talking about marginal differences beyond the fact that you'll have something to potentially talk about in an essay/interview.
One of the most unflattering attributes of the average law student/applicant is that she resorts to this level of obsession over orienting her life [decisions] toward building the best résumé/application.

Do whatever you want. Soon your soul will be crushed and you'll be a borderline alcoholic subsisting on adderol, Prozac, whiskey, and coffee. So do whatever will create more fond memories for you when you are considering slamming your head into a wall when 1st semester 1L grades come back.
Personally, I'd do Israel, especially if you haven't been already.

What makes u interesting is being interested in what you do/did. So pick what you really want to do bc if you do it just for the resume line, either will work.

Don't worry about what looks better on a law school app.
Going to Israel will be sweet.
