Withdrawing a transmitted application

Post by ninem24 » Mon Apr 14, 2014 8:36 pm

The application is transmitted and states that the law school has requested the report but since I haven't submitted my LOR the report hasn't been sent yet. Unfortunately, I need to put off law school until next cycle.
I know to withdraw an application, you need to email the school. I'm just a bit confused about what "transmitted" really means. If an app is transmitted but the report hasn't been sent yet, does the school actually have the application? and do I still email them to withdraw the app in that situation?

Thanks!

You really didn't just email them and say, "Please withdraw my application - thank you! Signed, Ninem" over the last week? I don't know the answer to your question, but what exactly is the harm in emailing the generic admissions inbox at the school with this brief message? :|
