How long till they actually revoke your offer?

Post by JJ123 » Mon Apr 14, 2014 11:42 am

I'm in at a bunch of schools. My top choice gave me a lowball scholarship, but I think they're going to come up. For obvious reasons, I don't want to make deposits at schools where I don't plan to attend. I've requested extensions at some schools, but they're only giving me a week or two. I've basically narrowed it down to about 4 schools that I'm really interested in based on current offers, but if one of the other schools came way up in their offer, I would still go there. So, I want to maintain maximum tactical flexbiility.

My question is: if I just don't do anything and let the deadline pass, how much longer do I have before they actually take away my offer?

AFAIK the deadline IS the deadline. Barring some kind of screw up on their end your file will be withdrawn immediately. Remember, every school is someone's dream school, and many of those people are on the waitlist. Someone really wants your spot.

Deposit at your top two and play them off against each other.
