Vanderbilt ($$) v. Cornell ($) v. W&L ($$$) Forum

I have $60,000 at vandy, $21,000 at Cornell, and a full ride at W&L, among other offers.

I want either big law or a clerkship.

I am from the south and want to end up back here in the long run. However, I do love NYC, DC, and other big market areas.

I am out of retakes and am going to law school next year. No discussions of retakes or not going, please. I'm going, that's that.

I am mostly leaning towards either vandy or cornell, but I need some help here. Thanks in advance!

Remake this thread in the "choosing a law school" forum, but first answer every question posted in the sticky, and use LS22's COA calculator in the same forum.

ETA: Unless you have a lot of money saved up or someone covering your COL, everyone is going to tell you to retake, just so you know. That's definitely too much debt to take on for Vandy, probably too much for Cornell, and you won't reach your goals from W&L.

But, I'd prob take Vandy if you are from south and want to stay there. Cornell for NYC BigLaw. W&L never.

You guys realize he said he's out of retakes right?

The best choice of the three is Cornell but you should be comfortable with spending the next 7-10 years in NYC.

Get work experience then retake. Would make these a lot more doable with some coin in the bank to cover COA, even if OP can't improve their LSAT.

your post tells us nothing

post total cost of attendance with accumulated interest, housing costs, tuition increases, etc.

I'd throw W&L out of the running regardless of cost, bad, bad outcomes for its grads
