is September/October LSAT too late for ED in next cycle?

Post by cavalier2015 » Wed Apr 09, 2014 5:33 pm

I am looking at a 3.4-3.5 GPA at the end of junior year. I was wondering if I take the September/October LSAT will I still be able to apply ED to either nyu, uchi or Columbia. I would also love some advice as to what score I should aim for with my
GPA if I am applying ed towards one of them. Thank you!

take a gap year. Earn all A's as a senior and raise your GPA.

Aim to exceed a school's median LSAT.

Don't ED anywhere that doesn't offer you a ton of money or incentives to do so, unless you're really rich.

To be perfectly frank, I don't see myself getting straight As. Is a GPA in that range not possible for nyu or Columbia assuming I break their median lsat?

Do you know how much it costs to attend NYU or Columbia at sticker price? It's awfully close to $300,000 when you include accrued interest and cost of living.

If I recall correctly, NYU's ED deadline this cycle was November 15th, so the October administration would be fine. You'd have to check the other deadlines - as long as they're in November, you're okay.

Definitely 172+. Aim a bit higher, if possible, given your GPA, especially for UChi.

My EA/ED applications were due on November 1st, and I still got my October results in time to use them. The October administration is on the 4th this year, so unless a school you're interested in has an ED deadline in October, you'll probably be fine.
