Character and Fitness Question

Post by accntthrawy » Mon Apr 07, 2014 11:59 pm

I was pulled over last week and given summons or tickets for operating a vehicle out of inspection and failure to produce registration card (the car was registered just couldn't find the card in the moment). I am already accepted with full tuition and deposited to my school of choice (can provide if necessary via PM).

Do I need to report this under the character and fitness? Below is what I believe to be the relevant clause in their application.
Have you ever been CHARGED WITH or CONVICTED OF a crime of any kind? Juvenile offenses must be reported. If you
answer "yes," include the charges filed, date, and disposition (fine, penalty, court costs, etc.) as an attachment. (Speeding
tickets and minor traffic offenses need not be disclosed)

Have you ever been requested to appear before any investigatory agency or prosecuting attorney for any reason?
I can pay the tickets without having to appear in court. Do I need to report this? And do you believe it will have any bearing on me attending school, the offer, or a future legal career?

Thanks all, I'm so worried about this being a major problem.

It says minor traffic offenses don't need to be disclosed. Which is what this is. So whats the problem?

You can send the 95 dollars to my firm for my .25 hours of work.

They won't care even if you do disclose.

Just FYI, not every lawyer is a saint who never speeds 1 mph over the limit.

You'll be fine :D
