How to negotiate with Chicago?

Post by ChicagoNegotiator1 » Tue Mar 25, 2014 11:39 am

Hey everybody -

Chicago is where I would like to attend law school. I would (obviously) like to make Chicago as affordable as possible.

I have also been accepted to Columbia, NYU, Penn, UVA, Michigan, Duke, Northwestern.

As of now, I have received:

~$100000 more at Northwestern than Chicago
~$60000 more at Duke, Michigan, UVA, Penn than Chicago
~Same scholarship at NYU
Still waiting on Columbia.

I know that I should negotiate one school at a time and end with Chicago.

Questions:
Does anyone have insight into negotiating with Chicago?
Would it be a better strategy to try and negotiate solely with significant Northwestern scholarship alone or use DMVP schools?
Does anyone have experience with a similar situation?

Thank you for your help.
